What's the Deal with SIM-Only Deals?

If you have bad credit and are looking for a mobile phone, you have then probably had doors slammed in your face far too many times by network providers. Well, how about you knock on some other doors instead?

SIM only contracts are an excellent alternative to obtaining a monthly pay contract. Here are a few reasons why:

Shorter Contracts

One of the biggest problems with pay monthly contracts is that you'll be tied for at least a year, very often, they last 24 months. That's a lot of time, especially if you have bad credit problems. With SIM only, you get a rolling, 30-day contract. You can cancel these any time without repercussion from the network.

Much Easier Credit Checks

While there are still credit checks when you apply for a SIM-only, they will be far easier to pass then with a monthly contract. The main reason for this is that there is no handset cost involved and you may get a contract granted much easier, even if you have poor credit.

You can get more call minutes, SMS texts and Internet data

Since there is no handset cost included in the SIM only deal, the dealer is free to offer you a few things they wouldn't be able with monthly contracts. These include more minutes, more texts and more data.
